Looking for a spicy, tasty snack to get some energy back after a vigorous exercise workout or sports session, then this Chili Bacon and Tomato Pasta recipe to really hit the spot. It perfect when you really need to carb-up and need to make it in a hurry. Enjoy!

Bacon and Tomato Pasta

Ingredients:

3 Hot red chillies (de-seeded) chopped
4 tbsp olive oil
4oz/400g can of chopped tomatoes
1 green pepper, de-seeded and chopped
I Large onion, finely chopped
2oz/50g streaky bacon (Diced)
12oz/350g penne
Salt and ground fresh black peppercorns
Garnish with grated parmesan cheese and chopped parsley

Method:

Cook the pasta.

Fry bacon in 1 tbsp oil for about 2 minutes and then add the
chillies and bacon and continue to fry for about 5-6 minutes.

Now add the chopped tomatoes and seasoning. Bring to the boil and then simmer for
about 5 minutes. Add the parmesan and parsley, then in a large bowl, mix this sauce
into the pasta and serve hot.
